You can beat all opponents, but there is always a challenge you still have to face, the one within yourself. For those like you who rise to any challenge, we have developed the bike that a true champion deserves. The Ninja ZX-10R has what it takes to win: aerodynamic body with integrated winglets, small & light LED headlights, TFT colour instrumentation, and Smartphone connectivity plus updates derived from Kawasaki Racing Team World Superbike expertise. Now that you have the definitive race focused Ninja, Face Yourself.

Over the last 40 years, Ninja motorcycles have captured the hearts of sportbike enthusiasts around the world. We’ve never strayed from our roots, but we’ve always been revolutionary in development. We lead the industry in heart-pounding performance, engineering, technology, and handling. Ninja isn’t just a recognizable name, it’s a way of life.

Building on WSB-Proven Performance

With an engine and chassis designed to be the fastest on the track, the Ninja ZX-10R offers a high level of circuit riding potential. To ensure it continues its race-winning ways, Kawasaki engineers made a host of changes that will benefit racers and World Superbike teams alike.

Styled for Aerodynamics

A prime example of form following function, the Ninja ZX-10R’s styling package was designed with aerodynamic performance firmly in mind. The sleek, racy looks offer significantly improved drag resistance, increased downforce (thanks to the aerodynamically sculpted front cowl with integrated winglets), and better wind protection.

Light-Handling Chassis

Complementing the highly acclaimed stability of the 2019 model, updates to the chassis geometry contribute to increased cornering performance and light handling.

Aerodynamic Riding Position

Updated handlebar and footpeg positions contribute to a more aggressive, circuit-focused riding position, while a new seat design helps riders minimise drag when tucked behind the windshield going down the straight.

High-Grade Suspension

Circuit-focused settings for the WSB-developed BFF (Balance Free Front Fork) and BFRC lite (Balance Free Rear Cushion) shock facilitate front-rear weight transfer, and contribute to light handling.

High-Performance Brembo Brake System

Dual high-spec Brembo M50 monobloc calipers gripping large Ø 330 mm discs, specially prepared radial-pump master cylinder and race-quality steel-braided lines* deliver next-level braking performance. *Steel-braided lines on the Ninja ZX-10RR only.

Technology to Help Riders Explore the Limit

The highly sophisticated electronic management systems on the Ninja ZX-10R facilitate rider control and allow riders to experience what it is like to ride a high-powered superbike at the limit on the track.

Integrated Riding Modes: Sport, Road, Rain, Rider (Manual)

All-inclusive modes that link S-KTRC and Power Mode allow riders to efficiently set traction control and power delivery to suit a given riding situation.

Enhanced Street-Riding Experience

Technologies for street-riding enjoyment; Features like Electronic Cruise Control, full-colour TFT instrumentation, with smartphone connectivity all add to the experience.

Powerful 998 cm3 Liquid-Cooled, 4-Stroke In-Line Four

The Ninja ZX-10R’s powerful engine offers cleaner emissions while maintaining the performance of its predecessor.

Air-Cooled Oil Cooler

Based on feedback from Kawasaki's WSB race machine, the air-cooled oil cooler features an independent circuit. A design often seen on high performance models.

Next-Generation Ninja Styling

The aerodynamic racer-inspired front cowl, highlighted by compact LED headlights, Ram Air intake and a tall windshield, is the “face” of the Ninja ZX-10R’s next generation Ninja styling.

Integrated Winglets

Winglets built into the upper cowl generate downforce that helps keep the front wheel on the ground during strong acceleration.

  • ABS

    ABS

ABS (Anti-lock Brake System) ensures stable braking performance by preventing wheel lock during braking.
  • IMU

    IMU

IMU means Enhanced Chassis Orientation Awareness. The strength of Kawasaki's cutting-edge electronics has always been the highly sophisticated programming that, using minimal hardware, gives the ECU an accurate real-time picture of what the chassis is doing.
  • KCMF

    KCMF

KCMF (Kawasaki Cornering Management Function) monitors engine and chassis parameters throughout the corner.
  • KEBC

    KEBC

Kawasaki Engine Brake Control allows riders to set engine braking according to preference.
  • KIBS

    KIBS

Kawasaki developed KIBS to take into account the particular handling characteristics of supersport motorcycles, ensuring highly efficient braking with minimal intrusion during hard sport riding.
  • KLCM

    KLCM

KLCM (Kawasaki Launch Control Mode) optimises acceleration from a stop by electronically managing engine output to prevent wheelspin.
  • Economical Riding Indicator

    Economical Riding Indicator

The Economical Riding Indicator is a mark appearing on the instrument panel to indicate favourable fuel consumption, encouraging fuel efficient riding.
  • KQS

    KQS

KQS (Kawasaki Quick Shifter) enables clutchless shifting.
  • Power Modes

    Power Modes

Power Mode selection allows engine power delivery to be changed to suit the riding situation.
  • S-KTRC

    S-KTRC

S-KTRC, Kawasaki's original predictive traction control, uses the same base technology as Kawasaki’s works machines. Designed to maximise acceleration, it allows riding at the edge of traction on the track.
  • Smartphone connectivity

    Smartphone connectivity

Smartphone connectivity contributes to an enhanced motorcycling experience by enabling riders to connect to their motorcycle wirelessly.
  • Electronic Cruise Control

    Electronic Cruise Control

Electronic Cruise Control allows vehicle speed to be fixed.
  • Horizontal Back-link Rear Suspension

    Horizontal Back-link Rear Suspension

Horizontal Back-link Rear Suspension arranges its shock unit horizontally, greatly contributing to efficient use of space and mass centralisation.
  • Electronic Throttle Valves

    Electronic Throttle Valves

Electronic Throttle Valves allow the ECU to deliver the ideal amount of fuel and air to the engine.
